Description:  Whether it is a production cel or a promotion cel or just a genga, it is a known fact that virtually any original art from Yu-Gi-Oh! is mind-numbingly rare, and here is an absolutely incredible and second-to-none survivor of a promotion cel that was made from the same production pencil sketch (douga) that was made for the anime, but this one (with a slightly different shading on Yugi's cheek) was used in Toei's official promotional website for the original anime series from before 1998, that is still maintained and able to be viewed today!  It is also worth mentioning that there most likely was a different promotion cel made for each episode, as seen in the images displayed on the same website, but as some of the more competent collectors may already have noticed, most of the other ones don’t contain many characters and a very few even compares to this particular cel from the page for Episode 9!
Screenshot of the Toei website is displayed on this page, and the link is below:  https://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/yugioh/story/1_display009.html
The cel depicts a very memorable scene in the very early episode of the manga series that featured Super Yo-Yo's (another 90's relic) when Yugi tries to stop Jonouchi from hanging with the wrong crowd, in the episode right after Kaiba and Duel Monsters card game was introduced! Duel Monsters (or originally known in the manga as "Magic & Wizards") at this point was just one of many original games that were inspired by various games and toys that actually exist!

Description: A very nice and incredibly rare cel of the main character Taikōbō. Houshin Engi cels are very elusive and acquiring it is not an easy task; this one was a prize of the "Houshin Engi Official Website Literature Contest" in 1999, and the price reflect the difficulty to find a replacement. The hand-painted background was included with the original prize, and goes very well with the cel.
