Description: Absolutely astonishing hanken cel of F91 created by Gotoh Masami, who was one of the main animators at Sunrise from the late 80's and worked on many great shows such as Gundam F91, The 08th MS Team, Ranma 1/2, Cowboy Bebop, and many more! Combined with the custom background made by TCG, the whole setup looks as if it was taken from the package of a MG Gundam plastic model kit from the 90's!
It is worth mentioning that the image is in absolutely pristine condition as the cel exhibits zero fading of the trace-lines and is very resistant to it, due to the most of the black outline having been applied from the front side of the cel, and interestingly the cel itself seems much thinner and more delicate than any other type of celluloid that we have ever seen in person... Truly a one-of-a-kind work of art and one of the most impressive Gundam cels to ever be created!

Description: A very very rare production cel of the iconic character Black Jack that was made under the supervision of Tezuka Osamu, from a movie directed by Tezuka himself and drawn in the same style as the manga, unlike the later OVA. To make it even better, this cel is accompanied by a fan correspondence hand-signed by Tezuka Osamu and notifies the recipient of being "gifted one of the 200 original production cel of Black Jack that was used in the movie." We absolutely guarantee the authenticity of the letter and the signature.
Included are the fan club materials and original envelope the cel and the signed correspondence letter were sent from Tezuka Production (as part of the provenance) to the lucky previous owner who sent in an application over 50 years ago and won the prize! The signed correspondence letter is not addressed and the backside is left completely unfilled, as it was included in the envelope that is addressed to the winner. The writing on the backside of the envelope translates to "Tezuka-sensei's Bandar Book's Anime Cel"
Additionally, signed correspondence letters identical to this one have sold in Mandarake and other auctions in the past, but one like this that was not addressed to a particular fan remains very rare (Tezuka signed many of these beforehand and the studio just sent them out to the winners)!

Created by: Oshii Mamoru
Condition Notes: Layer 1 and 2 stuck
Description: A mind-blowingly rare and precious key master setup from the epitome of Avant-garde fantasy film created by an iconic anime director Oshii Mamoru, in collaboration with legendary artist and scenic/character designer Amano Yoshitaka!
The film was made a few years before the famous Final Fantasy video game series was released, and the artistic style is definitely reminiscent of the early titles as the Boy looks almost identical to Frioniel, the main character from Final Fantasy II released in 1988. The atmosphere and backgrounds inspired by a French book about architecture owned by Oshii are also very simlar to the Medieval European-theme of the early Final Fantasy games. Oshii Mamoru was initially intending on making this film far more light-hearted with a comedic touch in the beginning stage of the production, where a young girl holding an egg suddenly arrives at a convenience store late at night, with strange people loitering around the area. However, as soon as the young Oshii got a glance of the artwork by Amano Yoshitaka, he immediately knew that "this has to be done as a full-blown fantasy film."
While the result was undoubtedly a masterpiece, it was far too esoteric to be accepted by the general public, subsequently leading to Oshii losing all job prospects for the foreseeable future due to earning a reputation of "a director who makes incomprehensible films," as even Miyazaki Hayao has commented about the film "I will recognize the effort, but nobody will understand it." The recognition took even longer due to the lack of access until the relatively-recent DVD release, but it is safe to say this film is a proof that a masterpiece will sooner or later be properly recognized and appreciated, as long as it isn't hidden and forgotten! Truly the pinnacle of Japanese animation as an art, and a product of the inspiring sacrifice and uncompromising dedication Oshii has put into executing this film in his own vision.

Description: A very nice cel setup of the shocking scene when Kim Yong-bi, a Korean war orphan turned boxer, unknowingly murdered his father who tried to bring back the rations he saved and smuggled back from his deployment.
Undoubtedly one of the most intense moments in the entire series both in and outside the ring, as Yabuki just risked his life to pass the weigh-in while Tange risked his own to prevent him. As anti-Korean discrimination and racism were far more severe in 1960's Japan than it is now, an inspiring Korean character such as Kim (that wasn't painted in negative light) was unheard of; it very well could have been an attempt by Kajiwara to provide somewhat of a role model to the young Korean generation residing in Japan, while teaching the post-war Japanese generation the devastation of war and while life was not easy in Japan back then either, life can always be much tougher.
Chiba Tetsuya has said that he was reminded of the horrifying sights he witness as a child escaping Manchuria at the end of WWII, as he drew the scenes of dead bodies, starving refugees, and dirty swamps.
As Joe is overpowered by the cold and calculating Kim in the ring, as well as his intensely tragic upbringing, the thoughts of rival Rikiishi crosses Joe's mind, and he finds the power to defeat Kim as he realizes the strength it took for Rikiishi to dedicate his own life and die for a cause that he chose on his own choice and will, as opposed to surviving through a horrifying abuse brought on by external factors, and most importantly, what he is truly fighting against.
